ATO Super Guarantee Amnesty ends 7th September 2020

Business owners with unpaid Super Guarantee have until 7th September 2020 to lodge outstanding Super Guarantee Charge Statements for 1st July 1992 to 31st March 2018 and apply for an amnesty from penalties.

Interest will still be due, however the Super Guarantee Charge paid before 7th September will become tax deductible.

Payment plans may be available if the full balance can’t be paid by 7th September.

After the amnesty expires, the ATO will increase their audit program, and penalties will apply to unpaid Super Guarantee.

Unpaid Super Guarantee for 1st April 2018 on will need to be reported as usual with standard Super Guarantee Charge Statements.
